This year, the Brennan Center for Justice published a follow-up report: “Criminal Justice Debt: A Barrier to Reentry.” It’s a toolkit, intended to assist people looking for solutions to excessive fees, fines and costs.

“Pay Up! Criminal Justice Debt in Philadelphia” was produced as part of the Documentaries & The Law program at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, by Tom Isler, Samuel Saylor, and Yiyang Wu.
